Help Spread the word to Deserving Students
After you make a donation of any size to Beyond the Boroughs, please leverage that donation by contacting a school or nonprofit organization close to your heart and tell them about Beyond the Boroughs.  By making a donation and a phone call new students will learn of the existence of this scholarship opportunity.  If you donate more than $1,000 and would like us to make that call for you, please let us know and a Beyond the Boroughs staff member will be sure to call the school or nonprofit of your choice and ensure all eligible students know about the Beyond the Boroughs scholarship. 

Named Scholarship Opportunities
A scholarship is a great way to honor a loved one, or a mentor.  Beyond the Boroughs will be happy to earmark a scholarship in the name of someone else.  If a donor makes a commitment of $20,000 over four years, we can offer a Beyond the Boroughs named scholarship.  The donor can name specific attributes (such as gender, race, area of study, or geographic area) and we will be sure that a student possessing those characteristics receives a Beyond the Boroughs scholarship in the name designated by the donor. 

Group Donations
While giving scholarships is our primary goal, having people band together for a cause and empowering everyday people to create real change is a secondary goal of Beyond the Boroughs.  Therefore, we encourage donor networks comprised of people who work together, play together or attend school together.  If any network raises $20,000, that group will be guaranteed that a student from a high school or nonprofit of their choosing receives their specific scholarship.
